Bar Sirrocco

I have been hesitant to review this great cafe (not a bar, despite the name) for awhile now. Not because it is so bad, but because Bar Sirrocco is so good and it is already hard to get a table on weekends! I have been going here at least 2-4 times per month for breakfast for the last 2 years, and he has been going for much longer). The food and service is consistently good. The owner and staff there know us well now, and are always keen to have a chat, whilst carefully not invading on your privacy.

I have tried a few of their dishes, but to be honest, I usually have the scrambled eggs and mushrooms on turkish toast, whilst my partner usually has the Baked Eggs or Corn Fritters. Whatever you order, you can’t go wrong, but the roasted mushrooms are in particular a favourite of mine. I am yet to find mushrooms anywhere as good as these! The French Toast pictured is as good as it looks too.

I must go for lunch soon, especially as it is BYO and corkage only costs $2 per person. Watch this space for the lunch menu review.
