How do I book a picnic?
You can book above. In the message box at Checkout, please enter your desired date, time and any other requests. After submitting your preferences, you’ll receive a confirmation email with further details.
How long is the picnic booking for?
Our standard picnic duration is 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to relax, enjoy the beautiful setup, and savour your food and drinks.
If you’d like to extend your picnic, we can arrange additional time for a small fee. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
We’re committed to creating a stress-free experience, so whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a quiet escape, the timing is flexible to suit your needs.
What's included in the couples picnic packages?
The Couples Package is designed for 2 adults and includes:
- Picnic Rug
- Low table with wine glass holes
- Cushions
- Stainless steel cutlery
- Napkins
- Plates
- Glasses
- Mossie/fly repellent fan
- Candles
- Artificial flowers
- Message board with your personalised message
- Food for 2 adults:
- 3 cheese (usually a soft cheese, a hard cheese and a blue cheese; but please do let us know any requests you have in the message box at Checkout)
- 3 crackers/lavosh/breadsticks
- Quince paste
- 2 cured meats – please let us know in the message box at Checkout if any of your party are vegetarian
- 1 dip and carrot sticks
- Nuts/pretzels
- Dried fruit
- Macarons
- Seasonal fruit
- Lindt chocolate balls
- 2 cans/small bottles of soft drink/soda water/juice (e.g. Coke, Sprite, Schweppes, Fevertree, Sodaly)

Travel is included for all picnics within 10km of Mortdale. There will be a travel fee for all other locations.
What's included in the valentines day add-on?
Our Valentine’s Day add-on is designed to make your picnic extra special and romantic. Here’s what’s included:
- Heart Garland
- Hanging Heart Decorations
- Heart Balloons
- Silk Single Red Rose – upgrades available for fresh rose(s)
- Silk Rose Petals (upgrades available for fresh petals)
- Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Heart Tin (with 11 chocolates)
- Swizzell Love Hearts
- Plus other heart-themed food
Optional upgrades like fresh flowers, a dedicated photographer, or a customised playlist can also be arranged. Let us know if you’d like to make your Valentine’s Day picnic even more unique.
What's NOT included in the couples picnic packages?
While our picnic packages are comprehensive, there are a few items and services not included:
- Travel more than 10km from Mortdale.
- If your chosen location requires a council permit, it will need to be arranged separately. We can assist with the application process if you would like.
- Any parking charges incurred are not covered.
- Alcohol is not included in the packages. However, it is available as an add-on (subject to location requirements).
- Special extras like cakes, photographers, or musicians aren’t standard but can be arranged at an additional cost.
- Travel arrangements for attendees are not part of the service.
If you have any specific needs or would like to add extras to your package, let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
what's the difference between the packages?
The only difference between the ‘Large Table’ package and ‘Small Table’ package is the picnic table size. Both packages include the same amount of food and drinks.
The large Dark Hardwood table is 1200mm x 300mm x 250mm high.
The small Light Bamboo table is 480mm x 380mm x 250mm high.
Can I choose which picnic blanket is included?
Yes, subject to availability you can currently choose between the below 4 options:
- Sage Palm, 1800mm x 1500mm
- Navy Stripe, 1800mm x 1200mm
- Colourful Chequered, 1600mm x 1600mm
- Blue Floral, 2000mm x 1500mm
Can I add extras to the packages?
Absolutely! We love helping you personalise your picnic to make it truly special, including themes, décor, and menu selections. Here are just a few ideas of what you can add:
- Drinks: Alcohol, soft drinks, juice and other beverages – we’re happy to provide suggestions.
- Entertainment: Lawn games, bubble wands, fountains, or even a musician.
- Decorations: Balloon arches, fresh flowers, rose petals, or teepees.
- Memories: An Instax camera for instant photos, or a professional photographer.
- Lighting: Festoon lights to create a magical evening atmosphere.
- Cakes: Birthday, anniversary, or celebration cakes made to order.
All items are subject to availability and your imagination. Let us know your ideas, and we’ll do our best to bring them to life!
Is alcohol permitted at the picnic?
Alcohol policies depend on the chosen location. Some public areas prohibit alcohol consumption, while others allow it. Please enquire when booking your picnic.
If permitted, some suggestions include:
- Chandon Brut/Jansz

- Prosecco
- 4/6-pack of beer
- White wine
- Red wine
- Rose wine
Where can you setup my picnic?
We can set up your picnic in a variety of locations throughout Greater Sydney, including:
- Public Parks:
We recommend picturesque parks with ample space and scenic views. If your chosen park requires a permit, we can guide you through the process or arrange it on your behalf. - Beaches:
Enjoy a seaside picnic with stunning ocean views. Some beaches may have specific guidelines or permit requirements, which we’ll help you navigate. - Private Properties:
If you prefer a more intimate setting, we can set up your picnic in your garden, backyard, or a private venue of your choice. - Indoor or Covered Locations:
For bad weather or added privacy, we can create a beautiful picnic indoors or under a sheltered area, such as a gazebo or marquee.
If you have a specific location in mind, let us know, and we’ll confirm if it’s suitable for your picnic. We’re happy to suggest the best spots based on your event type, guest count, and preferences.
What if the weather is predicted to be unfavorable on the day of my picnic?
We understand that weather can be unpredictable, and your comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities. Here’s our comprehensive weather policy to ensure a smooth experience:
1. Weather Monitoring
We closely monitor weather conditions leading up to your picnic. Using trusted forecasting services, we evaluate the likelihood of rain, high winds, extreme heat, or other adverse weather conditions that could impact your event. If there is a significant chance of unfavourable weather, we will contact you to discuss your options.
2. Options for Inclement Weather
If poor weather is predicted, you can choose from the following:
- Reschedule:
You may reschedule your picnic to another available date, free of charge. Rescheduling ensures you can enjoy your event without weather-related concerns. - Relocate:
If rescheduling isn’t ideal, we can help move your picnic to an alternative location, such as a sheltered area, indoor venue, or private space. Additional costs (e.g., venue hire or permits) may apply.
3. On the Day of the Picnic
If bad weather arises unexpectedly:
- Our team will assess the conditions and communicate with you promptly.
- If necessary, we’ll adjust plans to prioritise safety and comfort.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- We do not offer refunds for cancellations due to weather. However, we will provide credit or allow you to reschedule.
- If the weather forecast shows less than a 30% chance of rain but you decide to cancel, a partial credit may be issued to cover incurred costs (e.g., prepared food, flowers, or venue bookings).
5. Timeframe for Decisions
We aim to confirm any weather-related changes at least 24 hours before your picnic to allow for smooth adjustments.
6. Extreme Weather Policy
For severe conditions such as storms, floods, or heatwaves, we may cancel the picnic to prioritise safety. In such cases, you will have the option to reschedule or receive credit for a future booking.
Our Commitment

What's your cancellation policy?
You can cancel/reschedule up to 48 hours before the scheduled time without any penalty. Sessions cancelled/postponed within 48 hours may attract a 50% cancellation fee.
