Movida Aqui

Movida Aqui

I had eaten at Movida Sydney 8 months earlier, but was excited to be finally dining at one of the originals in Melbourne, Movida Aqui. Phew, they also had Slowly braised beef cheek in Pedro Ximenez on cauliflower puree on their menu. Who would have thought I could love cauliflower do much? I dined here with about 14 other people, as I was in Melbourne for the iCALM (Institute of Concierge and Lifestyle Managers) annual conference. All of the staff took our large group in their stride and didn’t even flinch when we asked if we could split the alcohol bill (the food part had been pre-paid). It is a little bit hidden (what good restaurant in Melbourne isn’t) and the wrong end of town (not the Paris end), but if you can’t get into Movida Original (which is tiny, by the way), this is definitely a great choice.
