My expectations were high when I found out my boyfriend was taking me Quay (the World’s 60th Best Restaurant) for our anniversary, but nonetheless I was extremely impressed. The views were outstanding, the food was amazing and the service was good (they could have been a little more attentive for what we were paying, but that is being quite picky). We chose the 8-course degustation with matching wines, which included Peter Gilmore’s infamous Snow Egg (pictured). One tip: make sure you check in advance that there is not a cruise ship in the Overseas Passenger Terminal. We did and it paid off. It can be tricky though, as the waiting list for Quay on a weekend is about 6 months!
