The Sydney Time Out Bar Awards at Wentworth Park Greyhounds

For the last two years, The Sydney Time Out Bar Awards were held at The Island Bar on Cockatoo Island, so initially I was disappointed when I found out that the 2015 awards would be held at Wentworth Park instead. Then I realised I could walk home. And it turned out for the best actually. It was a boiling hot day in Sydney and I am not sure I could have sat out in the sunshine if they had chosen Island Bar as the venue. The air conditioning at Wentworth Park was a very welcome change! Plus, there was a lot more room to move around or find a seat. After the awards ceremony, we were able to stay and watch the greyhound races. I even had a couple of small bets. It made me realise that if you are looking for a fun day/evening out, you could do a lot worse than the greyhounds!
