Cinema Under the Stars returns in January and February 2025, offering free outdoor movie experiences under the open sky. Grab your family and friends, along with a picnic, popcorn, cosy rug, or low chairs, for an enjoyable evening of cinema magic in these picturesque locations across Sutherland Shire:

Darling Quarter
Laneway Cinema
Wander through The Rocks’ cobblestoned lanes and you’ll discover a giant screen surrounded by cosy bean bags and comfy deck chairs. Grab some popcorn or a drink from the Hickson House pop up cart, then settle back and immerse yourself in the magic of the silver screen. With free entry and a diverse line up of movies, Laneway Cinema is the perfect place to spend your Wednesday night.
Entry to The Rocks Laneway Cinema is free, though for the best seats in the house – be sure to register for your free ticket. Walk ins are also very welcome. Tickets are available to book on Monday the week prior to each Wednesday screening.

Movinbed
All the coolest things about a Sydney summer can be found at MOV’IN BED, the best cinema experience. Opening on Friday November 29th 2024 and showcasing new release films and classic favourites through until March 2025, MOV’IN BED transforms Barangaroo’s Harbour Park into a city beach, where 280 tons of white sand is laid out with 120 queen-size and 50 king-size cloud-like beds, replete with pillows and blankets, for couples and friends to cosy up in front of the largest outdoor screen in Australia.
An extensive program of new and classic films and delectable food and beverage offerings served directly to your bedside, MOV’IN BED is an extraordinary yet affordable premium experience in a city that knows how to make summer fun. On a balmy summer night when the sun is setting directly across the water behind a giant 15 metre 4K screen, why would you be anywhere else? Westpac Open Air Cinema
