The Boathouse at Balmoral is the second Boathouse in Sydney (excluding The Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay, which has a different owner). The first in Palm Beach of course (see our review here) and a third one will follow soon at Shelley Beach (previously Le Kiosk). We like that Australia doesn’t really have cafe chains, but we would be more than happy to make an exception for The Boathouse. They always choose stunning waterside destinations, are BYO and their fish and chips are a Sydney institution.
