I have been to this cafe many times. It is always good, except the one time they forgot our coffee order, but nobody is perfect, right? Blackwattle Cafe is pretty much the ideal local cafe. I mean look at those views! They also have a grassy lawn, which is great for children and dogs to play on. They even have doggy bowls for you to feed your dogs too, so they don’t feel left out, as well as high chairs for your little monsters. The menu is not expensive, but they do all the main breakfast and lunch items, and they do it well. They also have a few different lunch dishes thrown in for luck, such as ‘Sharon’s lightly warmed silken tofu with fragrant eggplant & prawns’. Only one thing would make this cafe better – I wish they would take bookings. It is so popular that sometimes you need to wait for a table, but the staff are very accommodating and will often bring the inside tables outside if it is a nice day. By the way, they are closed Mondays and Public Holidays so don’t rock up on Australia Day.
